Hello and welcome to my blog!

I'm a lifestyle photographer based out of San Luis Obispo, CA. My home has some of the most amazing places to photograph, but that's not to say that I don't love to travel to new and EXCITING places. One of the greatest things about my profession is all the people I get to meet along the way.

I specialize in babies and children and I LOVE photographing weddings (who doesn't love a good love story). I'm always up for a challenge and will photograph just about anything that comes my way. Here on this blog you will find my latest work as well as bits of my own life. I am a mother to a beautiful little boy and wife to an amazing man. Life can be crazy, fun and a little wild. I take my camera to capture those moments.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to leave a comment-I love comments!!

Tomorrow will be the start of my fifth week of nursing school. Really, has it been 5 weeks already?! It is seriously flying by and I know it is because I love it!
So many changes have happened in the last 5 weeks and I finally feel I have some rhythm in my daily life. We have our routine for the most part. I know what to expect, so I can plan ahead. Which is a breath of fresh air. Organization is going to be super important these next few years.
Now time for some business….
This sweet little girl was photographed not too long ago and I know mom will be very happy when she gets that CD in the mail. Then of course all my lovely fans will get to watch her grow with her 5 part progression package.

Well actually seven months, but since we did her newborn pictures at about one month. Here she is six months later… just as sweet and adorable as EVER! I love returning to clients’ homes and seeing how much their little ones have grown. I will be back to photograph her when she is one year old too!!
I wanted to add that I love the colors mom chose for the session. Soft tones with just the right amount of brightness.

I have purposely been absent so I spend my quality work time editing. We got back form our Disneyland trip on Sunday night were I was welcomed home with some food poisoning. I have been catching up before I head out next Wednesday to WA for a wedding where I will be a bridesmaid.
Now this post brings me to a couple who just so happen to be amazing wedding photographers and owners of Applemoon Photography. We did a little trade with each other for family photos. I had to share because they are just so wonderful and I feel lucky to photograph them. I of course will post more of them with all the others sessions I have yet to post, but not to worry June will be my time to share. And my Disneyland trip will be talked about as well.
Now I bring you Michael and Maren and their sweet baby girl!

I had a quick little session today to capture some portraits for a friend’s baby. She will be turning one soon and her mom wanted to get a few more shots of just her that we didn’t have time for on Sunday. I brought Benny along because I knew it wasn’t going to take long and I knew he would be a good boy. It was also for a friend, I would never drag him along to a regular session.
I told him he was my assistant and he was a very good one at that. He carried all the gear and he even jumped in as a second shooter.I thought it would be fun to put a memory card in the camera he was using just to see what he would get. Not too bad for a three year old. I know this litle guy is going to grow up loving photography. How could he not?
Then of course here are a few shots I captured of this sweet little princess. She was one of my first subjects about seven months ago. Now here she is soon to be one!

Most of you know, but maybe not all of you, that I am also a personal trainer and fitness instructor. Health and fitness has always been another passion in life. I was asked a few months back to lead the group warm up for the March for Babies walk put on through the March of Dimes. I had owned and operated a local Stroller Strides until recently and last year my team had earn a nice sum of money for the organization. I was no longer teaching the class and had plans to be out of town that weekend so I had to decline. Fast forward two months later to this week and they still needed an instructor so they called me again. Plans fell through for my trip so I accepted the offer and Jeff, Benny and I headed out the door early in the AM to start the group off right. I handed the camera off to Jeff to take some pictures and brought Benny with me front and center. The director asked if I needed someone to watch the little guy and I said he was going to do it with me. And that is exactly what he did. He could of done it himself. He followed every move I did from stretching to squatting and the crowd loved it. It took the eyes off me too, which was nice. I was a proud mommy. For the last three years Benny has been by my side through workouts and he knew just what to do.
After the race he instantly made friends with one of the coordinators daughters and helped by passing out water bottles to the finishers. It was a great family activity and for a good cause.

The Foster Family brought so much fun and flare to the session. It was the little man’s first birthday on St. Patty’s Day and the session rocked! The location was beautiful Morro Bay with very few clouds in the sky, which is a rare thing for the little town.
What a fun way to spend a birthday I only wish we had a birthday cake, wouldn’t that have been fun!

How lucky was I to photograph this cutie on his 1st birthday today. I would say that he is his mama’s lucky charm.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!
