June and I headed to Hunnington Beach this last weekend for a few photo sessions. One being this little preview below of one of my best friends and her fiancĂ©. It was probably one of the cloudiest and coldest days that Hunnington had seen last week so we only did “part one”. I will make another trip for “part two” and hope for some warmer weather and sunshine. Despite the conditions we had some fun and some beautiful images were captured. I can’t wait for their fall wedding in Malibu! AMblog

What an honor it was to photograph two of the nicest people I know. Diana has been such a supportive friend and I am so lucky to have her in my life. In October they will be getting married and I have the honor of being a part of the wedding party (and Benny as the ring bearer). I was able to help out when looking for a wedding photographer and I really wanted to do their engagement pictures. Luckily they let me because I had so much fun spending time with them as they document their love for each other. Most of these shots are in the moment and rarely did we have to do any posing. It was so natural and real. It is so easy to see how much love they share and how much fun they have together.
On the drive down to San Diego I was a bit worried about the weather. There was scattered showers and lots of cloud coverage and I really wanted a beautiful sunset for them. However, I could not be happier with the overcast skies and the small breaks of sun that had us running to just the right spot before it was gone. Now they have so much variety of coolness and warmth. This particular location was where Nick proposed and they both love the city scape so this was the right spot. So perfect for them.
Nick and Diana thank you so much for this opportunity! We can not wait to be a part of your wedding and spending more time together.
