It is easy for me to forget how small our children once were – so light, fragile and easy to cuddle – until I have the opportunity to hold a newborn. I just *heart* babies, especially when they are brand new.
Baby J. was only ten days old when I had the opportunity to meet him, and his adoring mother. What a sweet baby boy!

As most of you know, I am a busy bee – motherhood, nursing school, and of course, photography. It’s been an amazing feeling to see my business grow over the last year (thank you to all of you who have hired and referred me)!! Due to the growth and my crazy-busy schedule I have made the decision to bring on an associate photographer. Luckily one of my best friends shares a love of photography, just like me. I am happy to announce Mary Knudson as my new associate photographer. She will be my right hand girl. Mary has already brought some great things to the table and I am excited to see what the future brings. Mary will be with me next month, shooting pictures for the mini sessions. In addition, she will be sharing some of her own sessions on the blog, which means more blog posts – yay!!
I asked Mary if she could write a little blurb about herself ….
It’s simple – I love pictures! Not only do I love to look at pictures, I like to take pictures too. As a young girl my parents had a very large circa buffet in our home that was filled to the brim with photo albums. I would often find myself at the buffet filling my arms with as many albums as possible, and then heading to the living room floor to look over each and every album. I’m not just a glimpse-at-the-picture kind of girl either. I like to take my time; see the details and take in the emotion of what was caught of film. So yes, I would be on the living room floor for hours.
As a mom of two and a wife to an incredibly amazing man I don’t have the hours anymore to spend sitting on my living room floor, looking over each and every picture. Now you can find me behind the camera capturing photographs that will later narrate a story for my boys as they grow older. Maybe, just maybe they will find themselves, slowly flipping through the photo albums looking over the photos that their mom took.
Just as I like to capture the day-to-day life that we live at home, I like to capture those moments for individuals and families. I like the detail – the detail that shows the emotion and the era. I am eager to capture moments that will tell your life story, so maybe one day, you, like me, will find yourselves with an album in hand, sitting on the living room floor, slowly looking over the pictures that once captured a few moments of your life time.
I look forward to working with you!
