Hello and welcome to my blog!

I'm a lifestyle photographer based out of San Luis Obispo, CA. My home has some of the most amazing places to photograph, but that's not to say that I don't love to travel to new and EXCITING places. One of the greatest things about my profession is all the people I get to meet along the way.

I specialize in babies and children and I LOVE photographing weddings (who doesn't love a good love story). I'm always up for a challenge and will photograph just about anything that comes my way. Here on this blog you will find my latest work as well as bits of my own life. I am a mother to a beautiful little boy and wife to an amazing man. Life can be crazy, fun and a little wild. I take my camera to capture those moments.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to leave a comment-I love comments!!

Hello June, hello summer! What a great way to start off my favorite month with this wonderful family. I was lucky enough to photograph them during my mini sessions last fall and when they asked me to photograph the maternity and newborn session of their new little one, I was beyond excited. This mama is not only a natural beauty but seriously one of the nicest persons I have ever worked with. Then of course add two adorable kiddos and the session is almost complete! All except dad who wasn’t feeling well and had to stay home. Good thing we have one more session to add him to the mix!
30+ comments will get this family a nice little gift!

What a sweet couple I was able to work with a few weeks back. They were expecting their baby boy any day and really wanted to squeeze in a maternity session before he made his entrance. With the forecast saying rain, rain, and then more rain we thought why not just do it in the rain. I am so glad we did because how unique to document the season as well.
We met in the Village of Arroyo Grande and started at a coffee shop. With lots of umbrellas we headed outside in hopes of some fun shots. I have to say I was a bit nervous to get my camera wet, but luckily I had a scarf around my neck that I was constantly using to wipe it with it. And of course I had a jumbo umbrella the whole time. Yes, that is right I shot all the outside shots with one hand in manual…crazy…with the occasional arm to support the umbrella I would say I did a pretty good job.
You can see these two love each other so much with all their kisses and affection. Their little boy will be very lucky to be surrounded by so much love. They will be great parents without a doubt.

Jessie and I have talked about doing her maternity pictures since she found out she was pregnant. Now here she is in her last weeks of pregnancy and looking as beautiful as ever. She came to the session full of ideas and I was so excited for her approach and comfort in her own skin. There is nothing more beautiful than a woman’s body when pregnant, and here is proof of that…

I was back behind the camera today after a few weeks of strictly editing and of course a weekend trip to Portland. In the next month I will be blogging four maternity sessions. I will photograph the fourth one this Monday. Each of the women have been in their 39th week of pregnancy so it has made it more fun to photograph them just at the end when their bellies are at their fullest and faces are glowing. Here is a sneak peak form my session this afternoon. I used to work with Rhiannon a few years back and we loved to talk about motherhood together. This will be her third little girl and I am so happy for her!
Enjoy the preview Schmidt Family!

These are form a maternity session I shot a few weeks back. I just spoke to the mama tonight and she is home form the hospital resting with her new baby girl. I can’t wait to get over there and snap some more pictures. Congrats to my dear friend and her sweet family!

I have been finishing up a lot of projects lately and I am looking forward to sharing them on here. I also have some fun sessions to shoot in the next few weeks.
Today I had a fun session with a cute family who are waiting for the arrival of baby number two any day now. I am really excited to give them a little sneak peek. They had an adorable home with lots of character along with a very nice LP collection. Here are just a couple of my favorites. Doesn’t Lisa have the most perfect belly?!
